With its finger on the pulse as ever, mobility is writ large in Berlin, even in terms of local transport. Before the Corona pandemic, Berlin's S-Bahn network was carrying over one million passengers on weekdays. Our red and yellow trains are as much a part of the cityscape as the Brandenburg Gate and the Television Tower. The 340-kilometre-long route network with 168 stations is served by 16 lines that connect the city area with the surrounding countryside.
