Netiquette

Dear users,

we would like to communicate and interact with you on WirBerlin’s social media channels (Instagram, Twitter). We look forward to open and engaging interactions with you. However, we ask you to observe the following rules (netiquette). We reserve the right to delete, hide, and/or report posts that do not comply with these rules, if necessary, even without providing reasons. In the event of a sustained violation, we reserve the right to block the corresponding users. We reserve the right to amend or change this netiquette.
 

Respectful dialog

We would like to have a respectful dialog with one another. Therefore, we kindly ask that you maintain a polite and fair tone: Refrain from insults, slander, defamation, and provocation. Argue and dispute things based on facts, but never using personal attacks or arguments that refer to individuals. Comments that are vulgar, glorify violence, discriminate, or that contain racist, sexist, hateful, anti-Semitic, pornographic, and/or illegal statements or content will be deleted or reported by us.
 

Personal data

Be careful about what personal data you publish in posts, because they are freely accessible. You may not publish personal or personally identifiable data of third parties. In order to protect the personal rights of affected persons, we delete such contributions.
 

Stay on topic

Your comments and mentions should always have a direct relationship with the topic of the respective post or to the topics of WirBerlin. We reserve the right to delete comments that don’t address the topic of the post in question. In the case of links to external websites, we reserve the right to check linked content and to delete it if necessary. Please also refrain from posting content more than once (cross-posting).
 

No advertising or illegal content

Do not post commercial messages or spam. Offering goods and services in the comments is prohibited. The same applies to content that violates existing laws. Violations of legal regulations will result in exclusion from discussion and may result in legal action.

Proper citation and copyright preservation

When quoting, we ask that you reproduce the quote accurately, as well as the corresponding source and originator. Be aware of copyright law in your comments and posts. The rights for foreign content must be released.
 

No fake news

We ask that you refrain from posting untrue and unsubstantiated theories or allegations. We reserve the right to delete and report them.

Copyright remains with the author for comments eligible for copyright protection. However, by publishing a contribution, the author allows Berlin Partner for Business and Technology to archive, move, delete, or close the contribution.
